Banking with 'growth and potential' to locals and beyond
Local bank ‘rebranded’

Darling Downs Bank is the new name of Warwick Credit Union and Branch Manager, Kelly Ellis said she and the team are "passionate" and "dedicated" to continued quality service.
"I work with and help, both long-standing customers and newcomers, (to) achieve their financial goals," Ms Ellis told our newspaper. "One of the areas I particularly enjoy is lending - supporting individuals, families, and businesses to access the finance they need to grow and thrive."
Ms Ellis said meeting client needs through lending is "an important part of building strong regional banking". She's also excited about the future in her role, the local banking manager further saying it's "fulfilling" to lead a team who "make a real difference every day". In doing so, Ms Ellis said she values being a "positive role model".
Warwick Credit Union was established in 1970, with a customer base stretching to Allora, Dalby, Gympie, Killarney, Inglewood, and Warwick. From next month, the newly branded bank will also service customers in Toowoomba, "under one consistent identity, reinforcing the bank’s ongoing commitment to the region it calls home," they promoted.
The establishment's CEO John Ford said the 'rebrand' honours the past and positions what they do for “continued regional growth".
“This rebrand brings our entire network together with one strong, recognisable identity - whether you’re banking in Allora or Toowoomba, you’re part of something bigger - a bank that understands and is committed to regional life in Southern Queensland,” he said.
Chairperson Ross Fraser said that a new branch in Toowoomba, when the climate of banking sees closures, "is a clear indication" that they "believe in the growth and potential of regional Queensland".
Customers will be able to trust in "the same personal service, competitive products, and local decision-making".
Warwick Credit Union will officially become Darling Downs Bank from September 1 and the Toowoomba branch will also open next month.
