Darling Downs Bank reported a strong financial result for the 2025/26 financial year, reflecting what they describe as "continued customer support, sustainable growth and ongoing investment in the bank’s future".

Their recorded asset growth of 17.83% was about three times the growth rate achieved across the Australian banking system. The bank also recorded a record net profit after tax of $5.71 million.

CEO John Ford said the result reflected the focus the bank places on its relationships with its customers and communities.

“We are very pleased with this year’s result, and our focus remains firmly on supporting our customers and communities well into the future," he said. "This ranges from helping customers into their own home, acquiring a business or the safe keeping of their savings and investment funds.

“As a bank headquartered in the Darling Downs, we are dedicated to understanding the people, businesses and communities we serve. Our decisions are made locally and are they informed by an understanding of the opportunities and challenges in our regional markets”.

“When customers invest with Darling Downs Bank, their money stays local. Effectively their capital is recycled through our communities helping to create lasting economic and social benefits across the regions we serve”.

“We are grateful to our customers for the trust they continue to place in us. We also recognise the important contribution made by our hard-working staff, suppliers, business partners and the many community organisations we work alongside”.

Darling Downs Bank further confirmed that they funded $164 million in personal, residential, investment and commercial loans and overdrafts, contributing to loan book growth of 12.34%.

The bank said that their customers reported a Net Promoter Score of 86 for 2025/26 - "reflecting continued strong levels of customer satisfaction and advocacy".

These results follow the transition from the “Warwick Credit Union” to the “Darling Downs Bank,” the rebranding coinciding with the opening of a full-service Toowoomba branch.

“As Darling Downs Bank, we are entering the next stage of our development with confidence," Mr Ford said. "We remain committed to sustainable growth while retaining the personal and local approach to banking that our customer’s value.”
