Local Vietnam Veteran, Robin Farrell, was honoured at the recent Warwick RSL Sub-Branch quarterly meeting. He was presented with a certificate for five decades of "continuous membership" of the Returned Services League of Australia.
Mr Farrell, pictured receiving the certificate (on right), served in the Australian Army during the Vietnam War. His certificate was presented by Vice President of the Sub-Branch, Steve Kelly, a naval Vietnam Veteran.
When our newspaper was in touch with Mr Farrell he clarified that the service was 54 years to date and the recognition, "a surprise".
