Warwick and Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chambers of Commerce are collaborating for the betterment of the region with what they are calling "reciprocal memberships".
"This means members of either chamber will be able to attend events and workshops in either Warwick or Stanthorpe, they will get invitations to all events and workshops and newsletters," Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chambers of Commerce secretary Rikki-Lee Chislett told our newspaper.
"We are hoping this will achieve stronger connections, shared ideas and a more vibrant local economy. The partnership starts now and will run for the rest of the year, at the moment."
The idea evolved from working collaboratively with Southern Downs Regional Council "on delivering a revamped 'shop local' promotion and business workshops".
Members of the Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chamber of Commerce continue to hold monthly networking events, publicised widely, the latest on August 27.
They are also reinstating the Granite Belt Business Excellence Awards, last seen in 2019, in a partnership with Granite Belt Wine and Tourism, and scheduled for November 23.
The chamber have extended the deadline for nomination for these awards to September 6, for all businesses, from Dalveen to Wallangarra.
Their Annual General Meeting will be September 5 at 5.30pm at Stanthorpe Golf Club.
