On the nose at the bottom of East Street, but on whose land?
A slushy, smelly mess has been bothering residents near East Street in Warwick for some weeks with no relief.
Residents have popped into the offices of The Town & Country Journal to complain about the fenced off area near the Cunningham Highway, near the Ampol Station, which apparently smells like sewage. Some sort of power box ornaments the fenced area.
The mess is not the responsibility of Council, however. When asked, a Council spokesperson affirmed that Council does not own any land in the area and that there is no sewerage reticulation near the location.
Thus, the boggy mess remains a mystery for now.
